Disclaimer

This book is based on my personal experiences living with ulcerative colitis, together with information from published research and discussions with healthcare professionals. It is intended for educational and informational purposes only.
It is not medical advice and should not be used as a substitute for advice from your doctor, gastroenterologist, or other qualified healthcare professional.
Inflammatory bowel disease affects everyone differently. Treatments, medications, diets, and lifestyle changes that have helped me may not be appropriate for you. Always discuss your symptoms and treatment options with your healthcare team before making changes to your medical care.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information in this book is accurate at the time of publication. However, medical knowledge continues to evolve, and recommendations, treatments, medications, government subsidies, and healthcare policies may change over time.
Any prices, costs, fees, or financial examples mentioned in this book are approximate only and were accurate to the best of my knowledge at the time of writing. They are intended to illustrate my personal experience and should not be relied upon as current pricing.
If this book encourages you to ask more questions, have better conversations with your healthcare team, or simply helps you feel a little less alone in your journey, then it has achieved its purpose.
